Fight2Flight Theatre was created by Peter Gowen in 2021 with the ambition to present new work by Irish Writers. The company were Artists-In-Residence at Smock Alley, Dublin for a year from August 2021. During this time, they presented a co-production with Asylum productions of The Chronicles Of Oggle, revived for the First Fortnight Festival 2022, and the world premiere of Country and Irish by Patrick McCabe.
Country and Irish by Patrick McCabe is Fight2Flight’s first national tour, visiting all four provinces: twenty one venues in all.
Fight2Flight is producing a new play by Peter Gowen touring in the Autumn, Declan’s Got Talent ; a dark comedy about an Irishman’s fight with himself.
The company was awarded a project grant to develop a new play: My Name Is Elizabeth by Peter Gowen.
The company initiated a series of Actors’ Forums funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, dealing with actor welfare and development. The company also ran a series of forums in conjunction with the First Fortnight Festival and the Scene+Heard Festival in 2022. Got Talent

Peter wrote and appears in his one-man show The Chronicles of Oggle directed by Donal Gallagher for Asylum Theatre Company and Fight2Flight Theatre Company. Claire O’Connell | Producer
Claire’s background is in accounting, but she found it wasn’t exciting enough for her so she went and followed her dream to work in theatre and TV/film! Claire has worked for some of Ireland’s leading companies and venues including Graffiti, The Everyman Theatre; and The Cork Opera House. Recent producing credits include Country and Irish for Fight2flight and Tadhg Hickey’s In One Eye, Out The Other.
Claire was a co-owner of production company ‘CCCahoots’ producing viral online comedy sketches and work for the national broadcaster, RTE, including the sitcom The School and critically acclaimed TV pilot Sketch!
